Application scope

EN 10216-3 specifies seamless alloy fine-grained steel pipes for pressure applications, covering grades P275N, P355N, P460N and NH, NL1, NL2, delivered in normalized or quenched and tempered condition, combining high strength with good low-temperature toughness, suitable for high-strength pressure piping and vessel connections.

Typical applications

It is mainly used in high-pressure gas cylinders, pressure vessel connections and high-strength pressure-bearing pipelines, as well as hydraulic pipes for engineering machinery and high-pressure transmission pipelines; with the high strength and good low-temperature toughness brought by fine grain strengthening, it is suitable for high-strength pressure-bearing components, connections and container parts that can withstand high internal pressure, require reliable toughness and weldability, and can safely serve in low-temperature environments.
