The client is a well-known Brazilian maker of heat exchangers, pumps and refinery equipment. It urgently needed ASTM B247 UNS N04400 (MONEL 400) plate — a nickel-copper alloy with outstanding corrosion resistance, used in steam lines, seawater exchangers, deep well pump housings and critical valves. With its project rescheduled at short notice and normal mill lead times far too long, PAC drew on standing stock and shipped 193 tonnes within 7 days, backed by VDM, ATI and YAKN mill certificates.
