Application scope

ASTM A691 specifies electrofusion welded alloy steel pipes for high-temperature and high-pressure applications, covering carbon manganese steel and chromium-molybdenum steel grades such as 1-1/4Cr, 2-1/4Cr, 5Cr, and 9Cr. After heat treatment such as normalizing and tempering, they have good high-temperature and creep resistance properties and are suitable for large-diameter high-temperature and high-pressure pressure pipelines.

Typical applications

Mainly used in high-temperature and high-pressure main steam pipelines of power plants, oil refining hydrogenation units and petrochemical high-temperature and high-pressure process pipes; made of steel plate rolled and electrofused into large-diameter thick-walled pipes, which can serve for a long time in high-temperature and high-pressure hydrogen-containing environments, and are suitable for large-diameter heavy-duty pressure main pipelines for long-term safe transportation of high-temperature and high-pressure steam and process media in the power and petrochemical industries.
