Application scope

ASTM A106/A106M specifies seamless carbon steel pipes for high-temperature applications, divided into three grades: Gr.A, Gr.B, and Gr.C, with strength increasing sequentially. These pipes, with their carbon and manganese composition, balance strength with bending and welding performance, and are widely used in high-temperature pressure pipelines and process lines in industries such as oil refining, chemical engineering, and power generation.

Typical applications

Mainly used in high-temperature pressure-bearing components such as main steam pipelines in power plants, process pipelines in oil refineries, boiler tubes, and heat exchanger tubes. Carbon seamless pipes have moderate strength, good processing and welding properties, and are suitable for pipelines transporting high-temperature steam and process media, as well as various heated surfaces and connecting pipes. They are a common high-temperature carbon steel pipe used in the petrochemical, chemical, and power industries.
