Application scope
ASTM A672 specifies electrofusion welded steel pipes for medium and high temperature applications, including multiple grades such as CC, CM, and CJ. The standard uses electrofusion welding to produce large-diameter steel pipes, emphasizing strength and weldability at medium and high temperatures. It is suitable for welded pressure piping systems, serving the power plant and petrochemical high-temperature pipeline manufacturing fields, and covers multiple grades to adapt to different pressure conditions.
Typical applications
Widely used in the manufacture of large-diameter main steam pipes for power plants, high-temperature pipelines in petrochemical plants, and high-temperature process pipes in chemical plants. Electrofusion welding facilitates the manufacture of large-diameter, thick-walled steel pipes. The steel plates maintain stable strength at medium and high temperatures, making them suitable for large-diameter pressure pipelines, headers, and high-temperature process piping systems that transport high-temperature and high-pressure fluids. It is suitable for mass production and on-site welding and installation in engineering projects.
