Application scope
ASTM A210/A210M specifies seamless carbon steel tubes for medium and high pressure boilers and piping, divided into two grades: Gr.A1 and Gr.C, with Gr.C having higher strength. The carbon-manganese composition balances strength with weldability and bending performance, making it suitable for boiler heating surfaces and pressure piping under high temperature and pressure.
Typical applications
Mainly used in pressure-bearing components such as boiler tubes, superheaters, reheaters, high-pressure feedwater pipelines, and high-temperature pipelines in petrochemical industries. Medium and high pressure carbon seamless tubes have moderate strength and good machinability, making them suitable for heat-receiving surface tube banks, serpentine tubes, and high-temperature process pipelines that can withstand high-temperature and high-pressure steam and feedwater. They are commonly used boiler and pipeline materials in power plants and petrochemical industries.
