Application scope

EN 10028-2 specifies steel plates for high-temperature pressure equipment, covering non-alloy steels such as P235GH, 16Mo3 molybdenum steel, and various chromium-molybdenum steel grades. The standard emphasizes high-temperature strength and creep resistance, and is applicable to welded pressure shells, serving the manufacturing of boilers and high-temperature pressure vessels.

Typical applications

Widely used in boiler drums, high-temperature pressure vessels, and petrochemical reactors for pressure-bearing shells and heads, as well as in the manufacture of heat exchanger shells and pressure-bearing components. The non-alloy to chromium-molybdenum series classification facilitates selection based on temperature and pressure, making it suitable for critical pressure-bearing equipment that withstands long-term high-temperature pressure and effectively resists creep deformation. Appropriate grades can be selected according to the medium, temperature, and pressure requirements.
