EN 10034 — Structural steel I-beam shape and dimensional tolerances

Grades

(尺寸标准,无独立牌号)

Application scope

EN 10034 specifies the technical requirements for the shape, dimensions, and tolerances of structural I-beams, including the IPE, IPB, and IPBL series. It is a dimensional standard and does not have its own independent grade designation. The standard uniformly specifies the section height, flange width, thickness, and permissible deviations in shape, and must be used in conjunction with material standards such as EN 10025 to provide dimensional basis for the manufacture, supply, and acceptance of I-beams.

Typical applications

This tool is applicable to the dimensional and tolerance control of I-beams such as IPE and IPB during design, selection, manufacturing, and delivery. It covers aspects such as cross-sectional dimensions, shape deviations, and acceptance, and is used in conjunction with the EN 10025 material standard. It provides a unified dimensional specification for steel structure design, procurement, and processing, and is widely used in the specification determination and quality acceptance of I-beams in building and industrial steel structures, ensuring component interchangeability and assembly accuracy.
