Application scope
JIS G3455 specifies carbon steel pipes for medium and high pressure pipelines, including three strength grades: STS370, STS410, and STS480. The standard balances high strength with good weldability, is applicable to welded pressure piping systems, and serves the manufacturing of high-pressure process and high-pressure water supply pipelines. It also specifies chemical composition, mechanical properties, and delivery conditions.
Typical applications
Widely used in high-pressure vessel piping, high-pressure process piping, and high-pressure water supply piping for transporting high-pressure fluid media. Its high strength rating allows for selection based on pressure requirements, and seamless forming ensures pressure-bearing integrity. Suitable for industrial piping systems, piping, and various connecting fittings and pipes subjected to medium to high pressure conditions, it is a commonly used material for related pressure-bearing equipment and pipelines.
